Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Driveline Orem Concrete website and any estimate, quote or work you ask us for. By using the site or booking work with us, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work through it.

"We," "us" and "our" mean Driveline Orem Concrete, a concrete contractor in Orem, Utah. "You" means the person using the site or asking for work. You can start from our home page or read more about us before you decide.

What we do

We build and repair residential and commercial concrete. That includes driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, decorative and stamped concrete, retaining walls, pool decks, footings, slab foundations, parking lots, foundation raising and concrete cutting, in Orem and the cities around it.

The information on this site is general. It explains how concrete work usually goes, but it isn't a promise about your job. Your job's scope, materials and schedule are set by the written estimate or agreement we give you after we've seen the site.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free and done on site, and there's no pressure to book. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, so it covers the work, materials and conditions it describes and nothing more.

Some conditions only show up once the old concrete is out or the ground is open. Soft or wet subgrade, which is the soil the slab sits on, buried debris, roots or utilities can all change the work needed. If that happens, we'll stop, explain what we found and agree any change in price with you before we do the extra work.

Changes you ask for after the estimate, like a bigger slab, a different finish or added steel, will be priced and agreed before we do them. An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, material prices may have moved and we may need to update it.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We'll give you a target date for your pour, but concrete depends on the weather. Rain, freezing nights or extreme heat can make a pour unsafe for the finished slab, so we may move your date and won't be responsible for delays caused by weather, material supply or other things outside our control.

You agree to give us clear access to the work area, keep vehicles and belongings out of the way, and tell us about anything buried or hidden that you know of, such as sprinkler lines, cables or septic parts.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (385) 533-2723 as early as you can. If materials have already been ordered or delivered, or work has started, you may be charged for those costs and for work already done, as set out in your agreement.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written in your estimate or agreement. You agree to pay the amounts stated there on time.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's paid. Unpaid balances may also be subject to the collection steps that Utah law allows, including a lien on the property where the work was done.

Caring for new concrete

New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength before you put weight on it. We'll tell you when you can walk on it and when you can drive on it. Using it early, or letting others do so, can damage the slab, and that damage isn't something we're responsible for.

We'll also share basic care advice, like keeping heavy equipment off the edges and being careful with deicers. Following it is your part of keeping the slab in good shape.

What we stand behind, and what we don't

We're licensed and insured, and we want you satisfied with the work. If something we built isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it. Any written warranty on your job is the one stated in your agreement, and its terms control.

Concrete can crack. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line instead of at random, and we prepare the base to limit settling. Even so, fine cracks, small color differences and slight surface variation are normal in concrete and aren't defects.

Unless your agreement says otherwise, we don't cover damage from ground movement, freezing and thawing, drainage changes made after our work, roots, deicing salts, heavy loads beyond the slab's intended use, or work done by others. Except as written in your agreement, and to the extent Utah law allows, our work and this website are provided without any other warranties, express or implied.

Limits on our liability

To the extent Utah law allows, Driveline Orem Concrete isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of a driveway, lost income or the cost of other plans you had to change. Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We're not responsible for damage to buried items we weren't told about and couldn't reasonably see. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that Utah law doesn't allow us to limit.

Using this website

The photos, text and other content on this site belong to Driveline Orem Concrete. You can view and share them for personal use, but you can't copy or reuse them for business purposes without our written permission.

We try to keep the site accurate and working, but we can't promise it will always be available or error free. If the site links to other websites, we don't control them and aren't responsible for their content.

Settling disagreements

If you're unhappy with anything, please talk to us first. Most problems get solved with a call and a visit to the job, and you can reach us through our contact page or at (385) 533-2723.

If we can't work it out directly, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. Any lawsuit about these terms or our work must be brought in the state or federal courts serving Utah County, Utah.

Governing law

These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its rules about which state's law applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is the one that applies to your use of the site. For work already under contract, the terms in your signed agreement stay in place unless we both agree in writing to change them.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If you have questions about any of it, get in touch and we'll explain.
